Start with a visit to the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, located in the King Abdulaziz Historical Center. This museum offers a deep dive into Saudi Arabia’s history — from prehistoric times to the unification of the Kingdom. Exhibits include manuscripts, artifacts, and rare antiques arranged across eight main halls, including:

  • Hall of Man and the Universe
  • Arab Kingdoms
  • Pre-Islamic Era
  • Prophet’s Mission
  • The First Saudi State
  • Unification of the Kingdom
  • Hall of Hajj and Two Holy Mosques

Next, enjoy a walk through the surrounding National Museum Park and King Abdulaziz Historical Park — green spaces with traditional architecture and family-friendly walking paths.

Continue to the King Abdulaziz Car Museum to view a collection of vintage cars once used by the founding King.

Proceed to Al Murabba Palace, one of the most important historic residences built by King Abdulaziz in traditional Najdi architectural style using local materials. It’s a perfect place to take memorable photos.

Optional Lunch: Enjoy an authentic Saudi meal at Najd Village, a traditional restaurant reflecting the heritage and lifestyle of the past. It’s well-known for its cozy atmosphere and delicious dishes.

After lunch, explore Souk Al-Zal, one of the oldest traditional markets in Riyadh. It’s famous for carpets, antiques, incense, and souvenirs. Located near the historic Masmak Fortress, this market dates back to 1901.

Visit Al Masmak Fortress, where King Abdulaziz recaptured Riyadh in 1902. The museum inside features photos, maps, artifacts, and a re-enactment of the historic event. You can still see the spear embedded in the wooden gate.

Conclude your day with a visit to Kingdom Tower (also known as Al Mamlaka Tower), the most iconic skyscraper in Riyadh. The tower includes a high-end shopping mall, restaurants, and the Sky Bridge (entry ticket not included) with panoramic views of the city.

Make a brief photo stop at the Imam Turki Bin Abdullah Mosque, one of Riyadh’s largest and most architecturally significant mosques.

To wrap up the day, enjoy a photo stop at Elephant Rock (Jabal AlFil) — a stunning natural sandstone formation shaped like an elephant, especially magical during sunset.

After a day full of heritage and wonder, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
